Electrostatics precipitators (ESPs) are air filters that have high collection efficiency and extremely low pressure drop. That means applying ESPs at homes, at medical facilities, and at commercial buildings can collect most of nanoparticles with minimum energy consumption. No bothering noise and no filter replacement. One more good thing that ESPs do is ESPs kill odors.

Traditional fans generate airflow using many moving parts such as electric motors and blades. However, these configurations make noises and have low reliabilities. Ionic wind pumps generate airflow simply between two thin metal electrodes (could be wire-wire or wire-plate), eliminiating the need of moving parts. Thus, ionic wind pumps are quiet and reliable airflow generators. Moreover, ionic wind pumps have high energy efficiency because they convert electric power directly into airflow power without mechanical loss.
