Dr. Tsrong-Yi Wen (溫琮毅) joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor in the summer of 2016, and he is now an associate professor. Dr. Wen received his PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle ('15), MS in applied mechanics at the National Taiwan University ('05), and BS in mechanical engineering at the National Cheng Kung University ('03). Prior to joining the Taiwan Tech, Dr. Wen was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Washington in the first half year of 2016. He also did a summer internship at Broadcom Corp (Santa Clara, CA) in 2013 and worked full-time at VIA Technologies Inc (Taipei) and MediaTek Inc (Hsinchu) during 2006 to 2010. His research interests are the fundamentals and applications of electrohydrodynamics (EHD). He also contributes his efforts on the semiconductor research, such as thermomechanical analysis of electronic packaging and thermal management of electronics. He likes hiking, working out, jogging, reading, and sitting in the coffee shop.
